A french snuffles family

Snuffles can be found virtually all over the world. Despite that snuffles is only sold in very few countries, people seem to have detected snuffles in a lot of countries where he never has been sold or maybe hasn't been sold in a long time.

This snuffles family is from France. Today, I received an Email with this photo from a family in France telling me that they have been collecting snuffles for 17 years.

Anyhow, enjoy the french snuffles... I wonder if they speak french after living in France for so long... ;)

Karen and Vinnie put this nice big 20 inch cocoa snuffles for sale on the Bay. They also contacted me since we are quite often in touch.

This snuffles was made in the late 90s, I have one myself. Mine has the nose rubbed as well, just like this one, and I think, back then, this was one of the problems with the nose. Other than that, he looks in great condition.

300 Dollars is what they would like to get. If you want to get in touch with them, please contact me and I will forward it.

Update: This cocoa snuffles sold pretty much immediately. He is going to a loving home of a fellow coblogger and I am very happy for both, the seller and buyer. The cocoa snuffles is going on a long trip halfway around the globe until he will reach his new home. Glad this worked out smoothly.

Flawless Millenium Snuffles for sale - SOLD

Kristen contacted me a few days ago asking if she can put her Millenium Snuffles up for sale on my blog. I do not mind doing this. He looks flawless. I will put her email up here as well in a while. Until then, feel free to contact me on my above email and I will forward it to her.

This looks like a flawless snuffles. Really beautiful. The only thing I see missing is his ear tag.

I think that is a very fair price considering the condition. I have seen this kind of snuffles go for this price even in worse condition.

I have to keep it vague still, but there is a new snuffles brewing... and I promise, it will be a stunner, he will be strictly limited, and he will be extremely cute, with very soft fur you have never before seen on any snuffles. 30th anniversary snuffles in white

The 30th anniversary snuffles was officially not for sale. It is limited, but I am not sure to how many? It was a giveaway to Gund's top dealers and could only be acquired from them. Some are for sale on Ebay. My assumption is that about 200 or a maximum of 500 were released? Maybe someone can clarify this who is in the know?

He has very smooth and short fur, really nice, with a grey nose. Very soft and cuddly.

Giorgio has been loved as you can see. Loved a lot. He travels with me everywhere I go. By car, airplane, train, he is always in my backpack. Giorgio loves Giorgio Armani perfume so he compliments his name. He also has a buddy by the name of Marvie who lives in Texas, and he is sending his buddy his greetings.

Once, Giorgio decided he wanted to take a real bath and he climbed into the washing machine. He was hiding in a pillow cover which protected him reasonably, but not good enough so his nose got rubbed off a bit. But he said, he had a fun time in the roller coaster...

Giorgio is curious, a bit wild, but a great companion. His mother is the big 25th anniversary snuffles.

My first and my last (not final) snuffles

Here is my first snuffles I bought, and the last one. The first one is the 20 inch tan one, the last one is the largest snuffles that was ever sold to the public (there is a larger one, but it has never been sold and afaik there are only two of them). I bought my first one in 1997 in Chicago at FAO. He is still in excellent shape despite all my loving. It shows the high level of quality that Gund delivers. Snuffles is virtually indestructible.

Auction update:

The small brown mohair snuffles reached a new record price today at auction: 305 USD (The links to the auction will remain valid for 3 months only). Looks like the recession is not hitting snuffles, that is for sure. Several other snuffles reached new record prices as well. Amazing. They were all mint with tags. I wanted the beige 16 inch snuffles so bad, but the price it reached was quite outrageous, good for the seller, it reached over 180 USD.

I sold my last big Snuffles this morning. I contacted Gund and they are just about sold out of the big guy but I was able to order 5 more which should arrive in a week or so.

Gund has ordered more but they won't be arriving til the 4th quarter. Of course that will be perfect for holiday giving.

Jan of jansbearessentials.com has been a great help to support my snuffles collections over the last couple years. Especially since I moved to Germany, she has been of great help.

Jan ordered 90 of the big snuffleses, and has sold all but one. The last one is finally for sale, feel free to contact her via her homepage.

Jan from jansbearessentials.com emailed me a load of photos showing how the big snuffles arrives in her shop, and how she is packaging him and shipping him.

I had two big snuffles shipped to me in Germany. The both arrived safe and sound although they had such a long trip and were packaged in an even smaller box due to international restrictions. Both suffered no damage whatsoever.

Anyhow, I would like to let the photos speak. Enjoy. And enjoy the new biggest snuffles ever sold if you get one. He is awesome.

I am citing Jan's words, so don't be surprised at some emotional comments, but I think that shows the true challenge of shipping nearly 90 big snuffles worldwide.

Well, here is a story in pictures of the nightmare in my shop.

Each step is captioned from the time Snuffles arrives til he is ready to go out the door.

First step is to tape together the new boxes
Fold down sides
And cut to 24 x 24 x 18
Unpack the Snuffles from his shipping carton
Flatten shipping carton (to be hauled to recycling place later today)
Now is the trick - convincing Snuffles to fit in the smaller box
Hold your breath Snuffles, it's a tight squeeze
Done. Multi rows of tape holds box together.
Now, only 30 more to go . . .

Cuddlefactor = less than the millenium snuffles
size = mega huge
fur = soft and really nice
body = sturdy
Would I buy him again? Yes.
If I had a choice between the millenium and the biggest snuffles, which one? The millenium suffles.
Why? Because the size and softness of the millenium are more comfortable to hug and cuddle. ;)

First opinions of the new huge snuffles

OK, I am still waiting for my big snuffles, but have received the first few tidbits of people who already received the big snuffles.

He is much bigger than the Millenium snuffles, probably by about 10 inches.

He is also rather stout, similar to the 25th anniversary large size snuffles, but even more stout.

People who received the big snuffles already all unisono said they love him. He is awesome. He is also different.

I am excited and curious and will post pictures as soon as I receive mine.

Hi fellow snuffles lovers. My big 34 inch snuffles is on the way. Will take photos as soon as I get it. It is a long journey. He appears to be stiffer with his body, comparable to the large 25th anniversary snuffles. While the Millenium snuffles were soft an bent over more, the new one seems to be sitting pretty much upright. Those are some of my first impressions from seeing photos. More to come.

Famous polar bear Knut died today in Berlin. He was raised by humans because his mother wanted to eat him. She already had killed his little brother. His human father died already 2 years ago. RIP
